  My Mom had eye surgery in December 2017 that set off a cascading series of medical problems... encephalitis, dementia, a stroke etc.
  
  I showed up at Haywood N/R everyday for five weeks and one day; sometimes twice a day. The facility was clean and they had plenty of extra towels & random stuff. The personal clothes laundry was always completed quickly. I left plenty of Boost drinks, random foods etc. in the fridge and always had access to them for meals for Mom when I visited. Mom got regular baths. The therapy dog Leo is also really awesome. Will miss that guy!
  
  The care coordinators scheduled a care plan meeting for my Mom two days after she was admitted. Since my Mom was prone to falls and tended to get up when she shouldn't, the nurses moved her room close to the nurses station to keep an eye on her. Everyone was very proactive to try and prevent her falling.
  
  The rehab at Haywood N/R helped my Mom go from incompetent and needing 100% assistance with every task. To being able to do every basic task with a "spotter" to control balance. Every CNA/RN/Nurse title person there was extremely helpful and nice. Every nurse constantly pushed my Mom to do more for herself and become as independent as she could. They are also really sweet and helped my Mom enjoy her stay there as much as possible.
  
  The therapy sessions were awesome. Every therapy provider there will give you as much information as you are willing to accept. If you want to learn how to care for your family member you can. The therapy team will also coach you on any aspect of helping your loved one, from transitioning in/out of vehicles to coming to your home to evaluate updates for safety and accessibility.
  
  Behind the scenes there is the financial and social work aspect of an individual's care. The wealth of information available here is awesome. I went from taking care of my Mom for a routine eye surgery to being plunged head first into end-stage dementia, encephalitis and stroke recovery. What do you do when the patient is discharged? This facility had a plan for everything. Therapy, follow up appointments etc. had already been lined up before my Mom even got home. Had it not been for the help of the financial coordinator, social worker, rehab group & other support staff.... I have no damn clue what I would of done after she got out.
  
  All I can say is thank you to everyone @ Haywood N/R from the bottom of my heart for helping my Mom and I so much.
